Meagan Young is an artist specializing in fantasy and historical illustration. Living in Frisco, Texas with her partner and family, Young is a lifelong artist who first took up digital art in middle school, starting out with a mouse and pirated software.  She is a graduate of the Arts and Technology program at the University of Texas in Dallas. While originally pursuing more technical disciplines such as CG lighting and compositing, she fully committed to illustration and visual development after being introduced to the work of Celine Kim. Since then, Young has worked primarily as an artist for games with credits on the 4X Strategy title, Millennia(2024).

As an artist, Young takes inspiration from childhood favorites like Don Bluth and the Disney Renaissance as well as master painters such as John Singer Sargent, Maxfield Parrish, and J.C. Leyendecker. Her work centers on feminine subjects and historical fantasy elements, often paying homage to Art Deco and Art Nouveau aesthetics. She has a strong appreciation for the Young Poland art movement. While at work, Young prefers to watch admittedly trashy TV like Gossip Girl and Melrose Place. In contrast, the works of Stravinsky, Debussy, Ravel and other 20th century composers are consistent sources of inspiration. In her free time, Young is an avid filmgoer and fan of Park Chanwook movies.
